$15 Industry Tickets to BIG FISH @ Theatrical Outfit

Be ordinary, or be ... BIG

Tuesday, November 29, 2016 — “Remarkable! A show for everyone who loves musicals. Don't dare miss this!” — Variety

Atlanta audiences are invited to explore something beyond the usual fare this holiday season: Big Fish, a magical, new 12-actor musical adaptation of the best-selling book by Daniel Wallace and hit Tim Burton film. Patrons mature and miniature will follow the life of storytelling salesman Edward Bloom  (Travis Smith of The Outfit’s smash hit Memphis) as he fights mortality and tries to convince a doubtful son that there’s more to life than meets the eye. This epic whopper of a tale plays December 1 – 18, continuing Theatrical Outfit’s 40th Anniversary Season of Hope

ABOUT THE PLAY
Big Fish

Book by John August
Music and Lyrics by Andrew Lippa (The Wild Party, The Adams Family, A Little Princess)
Based on the novel by Daniel Wallace and the Columbia motion picture directed by Tim Burton
Directed by Tom Key
December 1 – 18, 2016 at the Balzer Theater at Herren’s

Inspired by the novel and hit Tim Burton film, Big Fish spotlights Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman whose biggest hope is to live life to its fullest. Edward’s tall-tales thrill everyone in earshot except his questioning son Will, about to be a father himself, who demands to know the truth behind Dad’s epic stories of giants, fortune-telling witches and mermaids. Full of heart, humor and inventive stagecraft, Big Fish offers an experience only theatre can – one that’s richer, funnier and bigger than life itself.
